The third book in the Green Mountain Romance series did not disappoint. Imogene is finally ready to open up her sanctuary, Wood Haven, and we begin this book at a party to celebrate. Her parents and friends from New Jersey have even come to Vermont to see what she has worked so hard on. Gabe and Fortune, always her dependable guys, are still around, as is Aunt Jo, Harper, and Bailey. We can tell Imogene has really settled in and found a home in this small town.

Just after her grand opening, Gabe receives a call from the sheriff. He has been called to investigate a hoarding case that involved animals. One of the mares is immediately taken to Wood Haven to begin healing, much to the dismay of the "owners".

Through all of this, Imogene and Gabe's relationship is tested, but of course, we know they come out stronger than ever before.

5 stars. I am in love with the characters and can see it being a Hallmark movie one day. I feel a connection with Imogene, as we share several characteristics AND she is doing exactly what I have dreamed of...opening a sanctuary in Vermont. Then the epilogue from Harper's point-of-view had me squealing with excitement because I am so ready for her story! If you want a feel good series, this is it.
