"Everyone falls off at some point, but it's what you learn after the fall that matters."
All my hallmark movie lovers, this book is for you! It has everything a hallmark movie has, but in book form. Hazel travels from the city to the small town of Maple Bay for the reading of her birth mother's will. While there, she learns she has a half-sister, and they both must live on the property together for the summer, or neither will receive their inheritance.
After thinking it through, and working it out with an ex-husband, Hazel and her daughter, Grace, move to Maple Bay. It's here they find family, not only in relatives, but in a community. They both learn it's okay to take a risk, and that the risk can be rewarding.
If I had the rest of the series, I would have continued them right away. I cannot wait to see more of Hazel, Grace, Jesse, Charlie, and the life they create.
