How do you find love when you have a fascination of true crime?
Have you ever felt like a book was written about you? Well, this character is me...to an extent. Phoebe's love and knowledge of true crime plays a role in how she views relationships. And she's constantly analyzing those around her to see if they could be a potential killer. She wanted to be a writer or editor in a big city with a nice apartment overlooking said city. She also has a tuxedo cat (hers is named after a book character, whereas mine is named after a movie character). The girl is me.
This was such a fun book. The first couple chapters were a little slow, but it quickly picked up pace. All of the characters seemed like someone you would know. And none of them were unlikable.
When I started, I expected the main focus to be Phoebe trying to decide if her neighbor, Sam, was a serial killer. This took up less than half of the book. She quickly decided she was just paranoid. I would have liked her to have taken longer to decide he was not a serial killer, and then focus on their relationship.
However, that is the only thing I would change. I really enjoyed this book and can't wait to hear what you all think about it.
