Well, the theme of this year is going to be "I'm behind on my reviews."
June 2026 was a slow month for reading.
Twilight's Child by V.C.Andrews (audiobook): 4.3 stars. The third book in the Cutler series. I wanted to give it 5 stars, but some of the characters made it impossible to do so. I will say, I didn't expect to feel bad for Lillian. I'm anxious to see if Dawn turns into Grandmother Cutler while running the hotel.
The Wilds by Sarah Pearse (physical book): 4 stars. The final in the trilogy. I like how the book ended where we began, focusing on sibling relationships rather than romantic. We get closure on Elin's stalker, and I can honestly say I did not see that coming. The only reason I did not give this book a 5-star rating is because of the constant back and forth between Elin and Kier's point of views. I feel like it would have been more effective to have the book through Elin's point of view and just a few chapters from Kier. Overall, great book. Enjoyed the trilogy.
This is a Safe Space by: Lucinda Berry (audiobook): 4 stars. This one kept me guessing the entire time. My only complaint...I wanted it to be longer! Lucinda Berry is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors.
