The Retreat by: Sarah Pearse-4.3 stars. Like a typical second book, it was slow to start. At first, I didn't like the multiple viewpoints, but by the end it made perfect sense. I didn't feel like the villain was believable, but there was a great twist.
A Love Letter to Whiskey by: Kandi Steiner- 1 star. I don't remember the last time I rated a book this low. I had heard great things about this one. The comparison of a man to whiskey had so much potential. I listened to the audiobook and the woman narrating had a soothing voice. But the content I was listening to...I was very uncomfortable. If I hadn't been reading it for book club, I would not have finished.
Sleigh All Day by: Heather Wallace Author- 4 stars. Y'all know I love Heather's books and especially this series. I will say, Gabe got on my nerves a little bit in this one (but if I had read it after book 1, the correct order, I would probably feel different). It had a nice, cozy feel and I see myself rereading it sometime (and the rest of the series!)
Dear Debbie by: Freida McFadden-4 stars. A true Freida twist I did not see coming. I was cheering on Debbie and Cindy. And if Debbie wrote an article...well, I'd read it! I listened to the audio and of course had to go get a physical copy soon after. I can't wait to reread it.
