A Merry Little Lie by: Sarah Morgan

My first book by this author and I can't wait to read more.

The book follows the Balfour family as they navigate a full house for Christmas. We have Jennifer and Martin, who are hosting Christmas. Jennifer's parents (Phyllis and Brian), three children (Becky, Jamie, and Rosie), and three others are going to be staying for the holidays.

We have Jamie and Hayley. They secretly married. Hayley also has never had a real family Christmas.

Rosie and Declan. They haven't been married long and trouble is brewing. A tense drive turns into a tense few days.

Becky and Will. Best friends since childhood, they carpool from the airport to Becky's parents. Once they arrive, an accusation from Rosie causes Becky to blurt out that she and Will are dating. If only that were true.

Ten people under one roof for Christmas. Things can either go really well or slide downhill. Either way, it will be entertaining!

This was a fun Christmas read (and y'all know I love a good Christmas book). The only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars was how rushed the ending felt. The early chapters were spent explaining characters as opposed to developing plot.
