I am going to stop trying to guess how her books will end because I am always WRONG.
Dr. Nora Davis is a successful surgeon, with a past she's hiding. The daughter of a serial killer, she has done everything in her power to make sure no-one finds out. She even went so far as to change her last name. But when bodies start showing up with her father's "signature," she can't continue to hide her past from everyone.
The way the author keeps us in Nora's head was fascinating to me. We really got to see how her past and her father really shaped who she was and the decisions she made. It also showed the power her father continues to have over her, even though he's been in jail since she was 11 years old...
Nora's nightmare doesn't just end with her father. There are more surprises in store for her.
Slow to start, but so good. It asks the question...can we outrun what's in our blood? Can we outrun our genes?
This book was nothing like I thought it would be...it was much better. 4.5 stars.
