This book! That twist! I said it before and I’ll say it again, I have GOT to stop trying to guess the twists.
Brooke takes a job as a nurse at a prison, where her high school boyfriend is incarcerated. She helped put him away 11 years before for murder and attempted murder. He’s also one of her first patients. As they get reacquainted, Brooke begins to second guess what she told police all those years ago. It brings up the questions, how well do we know someone? And can we trust our memories?
I really enjoyed this book. I’m still relatively knew to this author, but this is definitely in my top 5 of her books. It was fast paced, kept me entranced, and had an ending I didn’t see coming (and believe me, I had PLENTY of theories). I listened to this book, but I think I’m going to need a physical copy as well!
5 stars. Let me know what you think.
