When I bought this book my friend asked "are you just buying it because there's a horse on it?" The answer is yes.
A good, fast paced, and entertaining read. A family of three strong women doing everything they can to make it to the Olympics. This book had a little bit of everything. Horses, family, love, and drama.
There were a couple things that kept me from giving it 5 stars on Goodreads. First is the character of Mr. Gorton. I felt that his story either needed to be better developed and more a part of the main story or deleted altogether. As it is now, there were several times I forgot about him and his schemes.
The other was a constant she said/he said after every quote. Once you establish who is in the conversation, this is completely unnecessary and ruins the flow of the book.
Overall, I enjoyed the book. It played in my head like a movie (and I wouldn't mind it becoming a movie some day).
