Tarnished Gold by: V.C. Andrews

The fifth novel in the Landry Series is actually a prequel. After reading the first book in this series, there was no way I could save this one for last. V.C. Andrews provides a beautiful description of the bayou that makes you wish you could be there.

Gabriel....by the time you make it to this book, you know her fate. However, you don't know how hard the rest of her life is. My heart ached for her throughout the novel. Despite the sadness, however, I had to give it 5 stars. I cannot wait to read the rest of this series and many many more V.C. Andrews novels.
