Sea Horse Ranch by: Natalie Keller Reinert

This might be the year of horse books (with a few thrillers thrown in), But I'm not complaining! This book has music, horses, fun people, and giant iguanas. If THAT'S not enough to get you to read it, then check out the rest of this post.

Katie meets Crystal while hitchiking. What started as a simple ride turned into falling in love with a small island, the horses, and the people. In the short time she is there, she learns that developers want to come in and renovate the island (translation: mansions and yachts). So what does Katie do? She does what we all should do. She grabs Crystal's handsome son, Lou, the neighbors, and a music producer and puts on a festival to raise money to save this piece of heaven.

I loved this book. It was fun and the characters were lovable. It's also the first book of a series! So, grab your copy and go to this small island in the Florida's Keys. "Open to everyone who wants to love and have fun."

Side note: the next time I go to the beach, this book will accompany me. Sitting on the beach was the ONLY thing missing during my reading.
