Dog Gone Shame by: Susan Sleeman

Who knew dog shows could be so brutal! When Millicent is found murdered and her prized show dog, Scarlet, is missing, Kate (the groomer/dog walker) is high on the list of suspects. However, no one, even the police chief, can believe someone as sweet as Kate could be a killer. Kate turns to her friend, Shannon McClain, to help clear her name. Shannon, with the help of Michael, her ex-cop friend, embrace the crazy world of dog shows to clear Kate's name and save Scarlet.

This was a fun read. A nice, cozy mystery (which y'all know I love). Without giving away the ending, I have to say I was surprised. The ending was fast, intense, and not at all what I expected.

After reading this book, I will never watch dog shows the same way again. I will always be wondering what is going on behind the scenes with the owners/handlers.

This is a must read for anyone who loves cozy mysteries.
