"Let your passion be greater than your fear."
I was introduced to Heather Wallace when I came upon a podcast she cohosts called Adulting with Horses. I instantly felt a connection with her and thought "this is someone who get it. This is someone I could be friends with." I quickly went to Amazon to order her book.
All I can say is...Heather, did you write this book about me?
Heather uses her memoir to take us through her rediscovery of horses and finding herself. She gave up horses as a teen, only to find her love of them again later in life. She talks about her fears and how she had the courage to overcome them to find what she was meant to do in her life. Not only did she find horses again, but she started writing again. She states later in the book that she was in her 30's when things finally started to come together (turning 30 later this year, and this was very endcouraging to hear).
I want to keep this book with me at all times. I want it to become my new life manual. As someone who aspires to not only get back in the saddle, but become a published author, I feel like I learned a lot from this book. I have made so many notes and have tabbed many pages to go back to and reference. I can't wait to read her other books.
Heather put herself out there with this memoir, and I am so glad she did. If you need motivation for ANYTHING, I highly recommend this book. 5 stars.
And if you need a fun podcast, check out Adulting with Horses. :)
