I watched the show on Netflix before I read the book. While I try not to compare visual media to the written word, I'm glad I did for this one. It helped me picture what was happening.

The entire book is written from Joe's point of view. You're in his head. While this makes it easier to empathize with him, sometimes it's hard to picture exactly how the characters are seeing things. This is where watching the show first helped me.

After finishing, I wanted more. I have the second book on my Amazon wish list, so hopefully it will be in my possession soon. I want to see where Caroline Kepnes takes Joe next.
