The Butcher Game by: Alaina Urquhart

I waited two years for the sequel of one of my favorite books...and it did not disappoint.

Leaving Wren behind in New Orleans, Jeremy takes off and heads to Massachusetts. He leaves a trail of death in destruction in his wake. He's trying to lure Wren to him (who is trying to recover from their last meeting). It's all a game to him. But this time, the game goes too far.

We learn more about Wren and Jeremy in this one. We see Wren in a more vulnerable state, which makes her more real and relatable. We learn more about Jeremy's past and are even introduced to an old friend.

The ending brings with it more twists that you don't see coming. And by the last line, we know there is more.

4.5 stars. The perfect sequel. I just don't know that I can wait 2 years for the next one!
