Deadly Decisions by: Kathy Reichs

"Death hurts. It's as simple as that. It hurts those who die, it hurts those who love them, and it hurts those who find them."

"I closed my eyes and listened to cows lowing softly in the distance. Somewhere life was calm, routine, and made sense."

"The simple fact is you chose this life...You asked for this and you got it, so stop brooding and do your work."

"Though the little rat teether were out, the eyes were dark as Dante's ninth ring."

"DNA doesn't lie."

Not my favorite so far of her novels. I expected this of the second book in the series, not the third. However, any story involving bikers never holds my interest. And I still gave it a 4-star rating.

I enjoyed seeing Tempe react with her nephew, who she really does treat like a son. Which made her motherly reactions to his troubles more heart-wrenching.

Andrew Ryan...I don't know about him. Part of me doesn't want him to be corrupt, and another part of me thinks it would make for an interesting story line.

Overall, after the last 2 books, I felt this one to be a little boring. I didn't feel my heart pounding with the fast-paced energy.

That being said, only a good author can leave you wanting more, even when you didn't particularly enjoy the novel. Kathy Reichs is phenomenal. Love her!
